About Lellow

Our focus as caregivers is often on those around us. Lellow is a zine started by two Hills mums (Caitlin and Kate) that invites contributors to turn inward and tune into creativity that may have been drowned out by busy family life.

Each issue of Lellow is a collection of work by mothers based in and around the Dandenong Ranges in Victoria, Australia. Some contributors may be artists, but most are just beautiful mountain people, looking for a way to connect with or maintain an artistic practice.

For each issue, contributors are given a prompt to weave into their work. It may be a word, object, material or idea to consider, interpret and incorporate.

Lellow is published digitally here on our website, and printed and distributed for free around the Dandenong Ranges. We are proudly supported by the Yarra Ranges Council and partnered with the Belgrave Food Garden.

If you are interested in contributing to Lellow, please check out our submission page for this issue’s theme and information about contributing your work, or subscribe to receive updates about upcoming issues and events.
